Hello to anyone who reads this.

For the record, the main purpose of my deviantART account is to take advantage of the favorites and deviantWatch systems. My art is program code (though I'd like to learn to draw more than diagrams some day) and I'm not much of a forum-goer.

I'm not the type to do journal-style blogging and I'll just leave my status on "busy" all the time, but feel free to contact me if you're in the mood for intellectual discussion. The only reason I don't socialize more is because it's too much effort to seek out like minds in the physical world.

As for topics of discussion, what I enjoy most in fiction is character-driven storylines, good humor, and stuff that makes you think. Unsurprisingly, I love whodunnit mysteries and Monty Python.

As stated in the Interests list, I enjoy gender-bending stories. It never ceases to both amuse and amaze me that the human race is divided in such a paradoxical way, that gender and sex are both so wide, and so narrow a gap. I don't think I could ever get tired of watching the myriad ways in which (well written) gender-bending fiction exposes this.

My pet peeves include the boring monotonous gender roles you find in so much manga, the tendency for shonen manga to drop the interesting elements in favor of fighting, and the tendency for the world of manga to contain 1 female cross-dresser for every 10 male cross-dressers, and maybe 3 female gender-benders overall. (I know I have more interesting pet peeves, but I'm too tired to remember them)

Speaking of paradox, I also love inventive time-travel fiction. However, my disscussion-worthy interests are not limited to fiction, fan- or otherwise. As long as it's not the latest exploits of band/actor X, or an argument about sport Y, I probably have at least a passing interest.

I may expand this post later, but at the moment, it's past midnight, and I'm feeling rather fuzz-minded so I think I'll cut to the examples now.

For an example of the best time-travel paradox fanfic I have ever read, give Where I Came From a try. As for whodunnit works, I'm sadly deficient and I've only read Sherlock Holmes, read the Case Closed manga, and watched the Tantei Gakuen Q anime.

When it comes to comedy, I've read all of Douglas Adams' works, as well as the Monty Python productions and and Mel Brooks' stuff. I've also found a some really good fanfiction (eg. [link] [link] ). Terry Pratchett's Discworld novels are next on my agenda.

Circumstances have conspired against my getting a copy of William Gibson's Neuromancer, but I hope to remedy that within a few days of this post.
